Don't get your hopes up - this isn't Chris. This is Anne, and i got tired of him not updating. So he'll probably get pissed at me and delete this, but until then.....

We are doing really well in Texas. He's working as a media coordinator with the children's department at Lake Pointe.

right now, he's at our friend charles' writing & recording music...stuff he loves doing....I was going to preview "The Devil wears Prada" tonight but we had to move the date...so I am watching Sex and the City....

I'm trying to girl this up for Chris as much as possible...

Ok, forget any Valentine's Day plans you have because I have some new ones for you.

Some of you know that back in the day I used to play in a band called Unified Front. The lead singer of that band was JT Brown and he's been doing some solo acoustic stuff for a while now. Anyway, i'm glad to announce that my first gig in over 2 years will be this Valentines Day with JT Brown at Black Dog coffeehouse. So everyone needs to come check it out. Daniel Cox with also be joining us that night playing some percussion. It'll be a great little show and there just may be a few valentines day surprises.

So i'll say again- BLACK DOG COFFEEHOUSE--FEB.14--7:00pm. Everyone be there.

So as of this evening, I no longer work at Westside Family Church. I have led the music there for the last two years, and now it's just time to go. I initially started there after the previous worship guy that I had been helping out left. It was only supposed to be for a couple of weeks until they found someone, and well, two years later here we are.

It's funny how God directs you elsewhere. Because i'm lazy and don't want to write the whole story again, go to Anne's site and see what I mean.

So change huh. yeah, it's a weird thing. But it's pretty cool. As scary as the unknown is, it's exciting at the same time. I'm actually looking forward to whatever life brings.

And no philosophical point to this post now, because i'm tired.

So I've been thinking for the while now that I should get back into writing and playing music out again. For those of you who don't know me too well, understand that basically at any given time, music in some form is running through my head. All the time. No kidding.

So the other day, Anne and I were eating chinese food and afterwords I opened the fortune cookie. Here's what it said: Don't spend your time stringing and tuning your instrument. Start making music now!

Now i'm not one to believe in fortune telling and what not. I generally laugh at fortune cookies, and usually think of the whole "in bed" thing afterwords. (I never claimed to be very mature.) But this was pretty crazy. So even though i was going to get back into music anyway, this little piece of paper made me realize that God can speak through any means.

I say all that to say this. Pursue your dreams. Maybe, just maybe, they were given to you for a reason, so go after them with all you got.

man i'm tired....this post might make sense.....

So I decided to climb out of lurkerdom and update since I was accused of being a comment whore.

New Years weekend was great. You can read a full account on Anne's site.

the new years party was alright, but the DJ and the dancers we quite entertaining.

this is the year for less video games and general laziness, and for making music again.

so here we go, first post of the year.

by the way, i'm going to start having fun with this here blog. this'll be the only mention of this. i'm going to hide fun stuff in posts just for you adventerous types. enjoy.
